Contract to Study Great Falls Plant Resources

The NPS has recently let a contract to study the plant resources of the Great Falls Park.  Details can be found in their press release.

It appears that the public response to the draft Great Falls GMP/EIS was at least partly responsible for the letting of this contract.

This study has begun and the researchers are currently (as of July 2006) studying the vertical rock areas of Great Falls. They are being assisted by various members of Friends of Great Falls, who are helping the researchers locate the various climbing areas included as part of the research design.
